Pfizer and HCMCT Manipal Hospital Partner for Adult Vaccination Center

Pharmaceutical giant Pfizer India and HCMCT Manipal Hospital have joined forces to establish a dedicated adult vaccination center in Dwarka, New Delhi. This marks the second such partnership for Pfizer in India this month, following a similar collaboration with Artemis Hospitals.

The new center will offer a comprehensive range of adult vaccinations, including protection against pneumococcal disease, influenza, human papillomavirus (HPV), and Hepatitis A and B. These vaccines are crucial for safeguarding public health, as 95% of vaccine-preventable disease deaths in India occur among adults.

The center will also focus on educating healthcare professionals about the benefits of adult vaccination, particularly for individuals at risk of chronic health conditions and those aged 50 or older. By addressing vaccine hesitancy and ensuring equitable access, the initiative aims to strengthen the public health infrastructure.

Dr. Santosh Taur, Director of Medical Affairs at Pfizer Vaccines, emphasized the company's commitment to promoting public health through vaccination. The partnership with HCMCT Manipal Hospital will include training modules, guidelines, and protocol recommendations for adult vaccination, further enhancing the effectiveness of these efforts.
