Where is JFK's bunker?

Where is JFK's bunker? PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — Peanut Island is home to a bunker built for former President John F. Kennedy in the 1960s and Coast Guard houses built in the 1930s. But decades of aging and several large storms have made it unsafe to visit the historic sites.

Why is it called Peanut Island?

Originally named Inlet Island, the island was renamed Peanut Island for a planned peanut oil-shipping operation which failed in 1946. A $13-million renovation on the island in 2005 resulted in Peanut Island Park including camp sites, a pier, and a man-made reef.
