Where does the A1 meet the M1?

Where does the A1 meet the M1? The M1 motorway connects London to Leeds, where it joins the A1(M) near Aberford, to connect to Newcastle.

Where does the M1 start and finish?

The M1 starts at Edgware in north London and ends between Micklefield and Aberford, just outside Leeds. It connects to several other motorways, with junctions providing access to the M25, M45, M6, M69, M18, M62, M621 and A1M.

Why is there no M7?

There is no M7 because there has never been a need to replace the A7 with a motorway. There was an idea in the 1990s to build a new toll road linking Edinburgh and the A74 (M), along the lines of the A702, and the idea was floated that this could take the M7 number.
