When should you Link your MagicBand?
When should you Link your MagicBand? You can link our MagicBands to your My Disney Experience account as soon as you have them in hand! I link them as soon as I can just to make sure that everything is working properly. Linking can be done very easily on your My Disney Experience mobile app!
Should I link my Disney tickets?
Some reservations, tickets and purchases may not automatically appear in My Disney Experience. Link these items to your account to be ready to plan and share the magic with family and friends.
Do MagicBands come charged?
If you purchased an original MagicBand (or MagicBand 2), this style does not need to be charged. When purchased through your My Disney Experience account, this is automatically linked with your account and reservations. But if you purchased a MagicBand+, this style does come with a charger!
Do my tickets automatically Link to my MagicBand?
Your tickets will be automatically linked to your MagicBands if you have previously linked your tickets and MagicBands to your My Disney Experience account.
Will a 5 year old MagicBand still work?
Just make sure they're active. One thing thats a slight bummer is cannot use them to buy points at resort arcades but thats life. They will work for purchases and tapping into rides. But they won't link the ride photos that don't have a touch point.
Are MagicBands worth it if staying off property?
If you're staying “off property” you can use a Magic Band as your park admission, to check in for Lightning Lanes, access the Disney World Virtual Queue, and for Photo Pass. You will NOT be able to charge purchases on your band, however.
Can you use the same MagicBand twice?
Already have a MagicBand+ or MagicBand from a previous visit? You can reuse your current MagicBand+ or MagicBand.
Are MagicBands waterproof?
Yes. According to Walt Disney World, the MagicBand+ is “waterproof for pools and water rides.” Can off-site guests use MagicBand Plus? Yes.
How early can you link Disney tickets?
Guests are welcome to link their theme park tickets to My Disney Experience at any time and linking your tickets will not cause them to activate.
Do I need to link old MagicBand to new reservation?
The good news is that as long as your valid Walt Disney World Tickets and your MagicBands are linked to your My Disney Experience Account, you should be able to enter a theme park with your active MagicBand, even if it is a MagicBand used on a previous vacation.
