When can I use my Leap Card? If there is no credit on the card it cannot be used for any further journeys until it is Topped Up. You can use your TFI Leap Card to travel if your card is in a positive balance, even if the balance does not cover the full fare.

The Weekly cap (Mon – Sun) adds up the credit used each day and may be reached before the Daily cap towards the end of the week. In these cases the amount deducted from your card will stop at the Weekly cap (Mon – Sun) value. This is normal and all subsequent travel is free until the end of the week (Monday 4:29am).
