What qualifies as TDY? Normal (Business/Regular) Travel TDY: You are considered to be on this type of TDY when traveling for: site visits, conferences and meetings, etc. (not for training). Training TDY: You are considered to be on a training TDY when you are scheduled to attend training for 139 or fewer days (less than 20 weeks).
