What makes beach water warm?

What makes beach water warm? The main source of ocean heat is sunlight. Additionally, clouds, water vapor, and greenhouse gases emit heat that they have absorbed, and some of that heat energy enters the ocean.

Why is it always cold at the beach?

This wind pushes the surface water away from the shore, and cold water from below comes up to replace it. This is called upwelling, and it makes the coastal water colder than usual.

Why is the ocean blue?

The ocean is blue because water absorbs colors in the red part of the light spectrum. Like a filter, this leaves behind colors in the blue part of the light spectrum for us to see. The ocean may also take on green, red, or other hues as light bounces off of floating sediments and particles in the water.
