What is the zipper rule in Germany?

What is the zipper rule in Germany? Germany uses the “zipper system” or Reissverschlussverfahren. The system is in the German Road Traffic Regulations (§ 7 (4) StVO) and dictates that when two lanes converge into one, drivers should proceed all the way to the front of their respective lane and wait to merge at the last possible point.

Can I ignore a German speeding ticket?

If you receive a notice requesting you to come to the Law Center to retrieve a ticket do not ignore it! We will follow up through your supervisor, first sergeant or commander if necessary. Failure to pay your ticket may result in the German Court ordering jail time to induce payment of an overdue fine.

What lane moves fastest in a traffic jam?

The traffic always gets stuck in exactly the same manner all the time. The leftmost lane's blockage starts farthest; then the second-to-the-left lane, and the rightmost lanes are always fastest.
