What is the difference between the flash passes? Gold cuts the wait time by 50% while Platinum cuts the wait time by 90%. That extra 40% is only really noticeable if the standby queue lines are over an hour, so sometimes it makes a difference and sometimes it doesn't. Unless the park is really packed, it's sort of diminishing returns to go from Gold to Platinum.
