What is the difference between humo and LUMO?

What is the difference between humo and LUMO? “HOMO” stands for Highest occupied molecular orbital while “LUMO” stands for Least unoccupied molecular orbital. The HOMO is the highest energy molecular orbital that consists of electrons while the LUMO is the next highest energy orbital that is empty. The LUMO is the lowest energy place to excite an electron.

Do Lumo have unreserved seats?

If you join a Lumo service without a seat reservation, we keep a limited number of seats unreserved on each train; please look for the green lights above seats which indicate they are not reserved.

Is LUMO always antibonding?

The transition of an electron from HOMO to LUMO corresponds to a relative increase of energy for the electron and would be a positive value. The HOMO and the LUMO could be a bonding or antibonding orbital, depending on the molecule.

Do LUMO tickets work on LNER?

Lumo Specific Tickets At your time of purchase, you'll be given a list of times and train operators that your ticket is valid on. If there is only one operator available, it will display just the one in the dropdown, such as LNER. If it states, 'multiple operators', more than one train company covers your chosen route.

Is LUMO owned by LNER?

Lumo is a British open-access operator owned by FirstGroup that operates passenger trains on the East Coast Main Line between London King's Cross and Edinburgh Waverley.

Is LUMO or LNER better?

In most cases, we would say Lumo will have the edge when you're travelling alone. If you're travelling last-minute, you might snap up a great deal on quieter trains. However, busier trains might have little or no difference – it might even be cheaper to pick LNER.
