What is free seating?

What is free seating? In a general admission (also known as open seating or free seating) scheme, each spectator has a ticket. However, the location from which they will watch the event is determined upon arrival at the venue.

What is reserved seating?

Venues usually have reserved seating or allocated seating. This means you are given a row and a seat number and therefore know before the event where you will be seated. You must remain in the seat allocated to you throughout the event. You are unable to sit in a different seat or row.

Can you reserve seats without paying?

With most airlines, if you DON'T pay and just check in online as early as you can, you WILL get to sit with the rest of your group – as long as seats are still available. All of the major airlines bar Ryanair told us their seat allocation systems will always try to seat groups on the same booking together.

What does no seats reserved mean?

If there's no specific seat reserved on your ticket, then you can sit in any seat in the class of accommodation that your ticket is for.
