What happens when you deactivate a MagicBand? Deactivating your band will prohibit anyone that might find the band from using it as a form of payment or your resort room key. If and when your MagicBand is found, simply reactivate again using the same button on the My Disney Experience App. Use these steps to deactivate your MagicBand when lost.
Do MagicBands ever expire?
Yes, Magic Bands are reusable. They run off of a small battery inside the band. Disney says the batteries are designed to last for 2 years.
Are Disney MagicBands worth it?
If you do not plan to use Genie+, DAS or take many PhotoPass photos, you probably do not need a MagicBand at Disneyland. If you want to play games and see the band light up with entertainment, as well as use it for Lightning Lanes and PhotoPass, then it may be worth it.

Already have a MagicBand+ or MagicBand from a previous visit? You can reuse your current MagicBand+ or MagicBand. Depending on how much time has passed, battery health may limit your ability to receive Disney PhotoPass attraction videos and select attraction photos with MagicBand.
