What happens if you miss a ferry Stena Line? Subject to availability, we will try to book you on the next Stena Line sailing. How early should I be for Stena Line?

Check in opens 2.5 hours before departure. Check-in for passengers travelling without a vehicle closes 60 minutes before the scheduled departure time and 90 minutes for passengers travelling with a vehicle.


Can you sleep on Stena line?

Whether on a day or night sailing, private en suite cabins with comfortable beds, TV and bathroom with shower are available. There are plenty of seating areas throughout the ferry or why not upgrade to the sumptuous Stena Plus Lounge?


Is Stena better than Irish Ferries?

So there's not much difference really. We used both last year and I preferred Irish Ferries. I thought there was more to see and do. That said, they're more or less the same so I would go with the cheaper option/best sailing times...


Can I reschedule my ferry ticket?

You can make your request directly through the chat that you will find in the “Make changes to your booking” section. Change requests can only be processed during business hours and as long as the change is allowed by the ferry operator's ticket modification policy.


Can you be late for a ferry?

If you are running late and are likely to miss your ferry, we suggest proceeding to the port to see if the ferry company will allow you to change the ticket to a different day or departure time. Keep in mind that if you do miss your ferry, the tickets are non-refundable.

It is strongly recommended that you arrive at our ferry dock at least thirty (30) minutes in advance of scheduled departure time. Please allow ample time for unanticipated traffic delays, parking, issuance of tickets and boarding the ferry. Tickets are not sold or issued onboard the ferry.

The form of ID you'll need to travel on a ferry depends on the route and your nationality. On most international routes, you will need your passport to check-in. However, there are exceptions to this.

Usually, the ticket that you purchase is only valid for the crossing you have booked. Some ferry companies allow you to change your departure time at the port, but this usually only happens if multiple ferry sailings are available per day.


Is Stena Line cheaper than Irish Ferries?

Both are great companies, and fares are virtually the same, simply book to Dublin Port Stena for Stena Line or to Dublin Port (Irish Ferries) for Irish Ferries.
