What do beach lifeguards wear? Many lifeguards working for municipalities or other government entities will wear red swimsuits with a white stripe running down the side. Private lifeguard services may have their own unique uniforms. One thing that's for sure is that women lifeguards wear bathing suits while men will wear board shorts.

5. If you hook up with another lifeguard, don't expect it to stay a secret. Everyone is so attractive and everyone is wearing bathing suits, so it's bound to happen. It doesn't really happen on my beach because it's small and it would be weird, but I've heard of it happening with my friends who work at other beaches.
