What can you do with a MagicBand? It's that easy! Use it to enter the parks (with valid admission and a park reservation), unlock your Disney Resort hotel room, check in at virtual queue and Lightning Lane entrances and charge food and merchandise purchases to the payment card on file, at your Disney Resort hotel during your stay.


What is difference between MagicBand and MagicBand plus?

The upgraded new version of the traditional MagicBand is now the MagicBand+. This band has all the features of the traditional MagicBand with some added extras! Now the band can light up and vibrate while it interacts at certain Park locations, rides, and shows.


Are MagicBands worth it?

It's not entirely necessary. Although MagicBands can make your park experience a touch (or tap) easier and can provide some unique experiences, you can function just fine in the park without one. You can still enter the park by scanning a physical ticket or using your Disney app on a mobile phone, for example.


What can you use MagicBands for?

Can I pay for things with my MagicBand?

If you take your Disneyland MagicBand to Disney World or on a Disney Cruise, you can use it for even more functions, such as unlocking your hotel or stateroom and purchasing food and merchandise items.


Can you pay at Disney restaurants with MagicBands?

If so, simply touch your MagicBand to a touch point to “pay” (using your allotted meal or snack credits). For snack or Counter Service meal purchases, the touch point will be available at the ordering register, and at Table Service restaurants your server will bring the touch point to you!


What does it mean when Magic Band vibrates?

As you search for the target, the MagicBand+ will light up and vibrate. Green means you're getting closer, while red means you're going in the wrong direction.


Does Disney track you with MagicBands?

A: MagicBand+ devices are not GPS-based and do not enable collection of continuous location signals. However, we may be able to detect the location of Guests who choose to use or wear MagicBand or MagicBand+ products while visiting the Walt Disney World Resort and certain other locations.


Why does my MagicBand randomly light up?

If the MagicBand+ is flashing red, that indicates no battery; flashing yellow indicates low battery, while flashing green indicates high battery. What happens if a child gets lost at Disney?

In Disney World, more often than not, the child has not gone far from the place where you were separated. However, if the parent cannot be located, the Cast Member will escort the child to the designated Lost Children area. They will wait for you there.


What is the benefit of MagicBands?

With Disney MagicBands, you do not have to worry about carrying a key card with you wherever you go. Your band can be used to register to your room and serve as a key every time you need to enter.


Will a 5 year old MagicBand still work?

Just make sure they're active. One thing thats a slight bummer is cannot use them to buy points at resort arcades but thats life. They will work for purchases and tapping into rides. But they won't link the ride photos that don't have a touch point.
