What can I use my National Trust card for? Your National Trust membership card allows you free entry to over 500 places in our care. All memberships except junior memberships entitle you to free parking at most National Trust car parks. You can also visit places cared for by the National Trust for Scotland and organisations in countries around the world.

Use a widely-accepted issuer Visa and Mastercard are the most widely accepted credit card issuers worldwide. While American Express and Discover can come in handy, you'll want to bring a backup Visa or Mastercard just in case.

I have more than 10 children or grandchildren, can I include them? Yes, you can. You can either join online with details of 10 children and then call us later to add the details of the other children, or join at one of our places or over the phone when we'll take the details of all of the children.

If your membership card says '+ guest' after your name, you may bring a guest for free at our pay-to-enter places. Life members can't bring guests to the Annual General Meeting (AGM) which is for members only.

A family day pass allows two adults and up to three children or one adult and up to four children to enter one of 500 National Trust sites on a one-time basis. You don't need a family to use the pass as you can use it alone or in a couple as well.

A National Trust membership is absolutely worth it. With over incredible 500 sites to visit for free throughout the country it is easy to see how the National Trust has amassed so many members! We have now renewed our membership and are looking forward to seeing what places we're able to visit in 2022.
