Is what3words API free? Free Plan. Any person is entitled to sign up to our free usage plan for the what3words Main API which allows for up to 100 convert-to-coordinates requests per Month (the “Free Plan”).
How much does it cost to use what3words?
what3words is free for anyone to use via our app and online map. We make money by charging some businesses that benefit commercially from using our products.
Does Google Maps accept what3words?
If you're given a what3words location, you can open it in the what3words app, then tap 'Navigate' and select 'Google Maps' to open the exact location in Google Maps and get directions.
What are the negatives of what3words?
You're not allowed to know what word lists W3W use. They take a paternalistic attitude to creating their lists - they know best. You cannot propose changes. Anecdotally, their non-English word lists are confusing even for native speakers.
