Is there a difference between mens and womens Osprey backpacks?
Is there a difference between mens and womens Osprey backpacks? Women usually have shorter torsos than men so the pack length from shoulder to hip is made smaller, with added depth in the right places to allow greater freedom of movement and stabilisation. We sculpt and angle our hipbelts to better suit a female hip shape delivering better load stabilisation and support.
Why are Osprey backpacks so popular?
Osprey packs are built well, and for their weight tend to have good and comfortable weight transfer capability — before I lightened my load and switched to lighter packs, I never had a pack as comfortable as my Atmos 65 for long trips carrying a ton of food and gear.
Should my backpack be tight or loose?
It's ok if the angle of the straps is between a 30- to 60-degree angle. You are just aiming for a snug fit, without causing any pinching or creating spaces between the shoulder straps and your shoulders. If you feel like the pack is pulling you backwards, then tighten the load lifters a bit.
Is it worth buying an Osprey backpack?
It is comfortable, durable, and reasonably priced. Plenty of pockets to organize your belongings and an internal frame for support. I also have a Daylite pack which I use around town, going to work, shorter hikes, etc. Osprey is a great brand and you will be happy with your purchase.
