Is the Wilderness Lodge a good place to stay? The wilderness lodge has always been one of my favorite places to visit at Disney World, as it's beautifully maintained and it reminiscent of the lodges you might find out west.
Can you go to Wilderness Lodge without staying there?

Can you see fireworks from the Wilderness Lodge?
While all of those trees are perfect for the resort's theming, they do make it a bit hard to have a clear sightline to Magic Kingdom Park. You won't really be able to see fireworks from the common areas of Disney's Wilderness Lodge, however, some Guest rooms do have partial views of the fireworks.
Can you walk from Wilderness Lodge to Contemporary?
View or get a poster of transportation, roads, hiking and points-of-interest maps of the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. It is awesome at figuring out what you can and cannot do. But to answer your question: No. You cannot.

Can you see Castle from Wilderness Lodge?
ROOMS AT DISNEY'S WILDERNESS LODGE During our stay, we stay in Room 6046 – a Fireworks View Room. Our view off the balcony saw a small lake in front of the Cabins and off over the tree line a beautiful, unobstructed view of Cinderella's Castle, Space Mountain, Astro Orbiter and the Contemporary Resort.
How often do buses run at Wilderness Lodge?
Disney says that buses run about every 20 minutes to each destination, but our experience has been that they often come at shorter intervals. One of our favorite ways to get around Disney World is by boat, and Wilderness Lodge is one of the best places to do it.
