Is the new Avatar ride scary? Not really. There are some gasp moments in the ride—two immediately come to mind—but I wouldn't go so far as to call the ride scary.

Flight of Passage is a simulator type ride with soaring heights, drops, and quick turns. There's definitely a chance motion sickness will occur.

The only downside was that I did get a little bit of motion sickness during some of the flying scenes and need to close my eyes from time to time. It wasn't that bad though because I still rode the ride multiple times in a row when we did Animal Kingdom After Dark.
