Knott's Berry Farm cracked down on the unruly behavior and originally required a chaperone 21 years or older to accompany visitors 17 years and younger on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The theme park relaxed the policy in February but reimplemented it again, starting April 22, before the often crowded summer season.

As part of that commitment, we are implementing a chaperone policy beginning Saturday, April 22, 2023. Under this policy, all guests ages 15 years old or younger must be accompanied by a chaperone who is at least 21 years old in order to be admitted to or remain in the park after 4:00 p.m. local time to close.

Teenagers who are 14 years old or older can visit the park on their own, but parents or guardians should consider their maturity level and ability to handle themselves in a crowded and busy environment.
