Bolzano is incredibly beautiful - in the spring and summer it is gorgeous. Lots of walking and biking and hiking trails - if you like that type if thing. There is hardly any nightlife. The shopping is okay - nice stores - but really you need to take the 2 hour drive to Verona - great shopping!
