How does the Tapu Tapu work? Hold Your Place in the Virtual Line™ Tap your wearable on the tap point at a ride totem. That saves your place in the Virtual Line™ and gives you a return time. Your TapuTapu will hold your place in the Virtual Line for one attraction at a time (Based on availability).

What happens if you take a TapuTapu?
The TapuTapu band can be used to open your paid locker as often as needed throughout the day. In addition, other people in your group may be linked to that locker via their own TapuTapu device. An entire family can have their TapuTapu linked to a family locker.
Can I wear water shoes at Volcano Bay?
Yes, get some water shoes. They have places to leave them at the bottom of the slides. It's not 100% necessary because there are lots of water sprinklers across the paths.
Are express passes at Volcano Bay worth it?
Express Pass at VB is VITAL on busy days. I rarely buy UXP for the other parks, but it's a must there. If you've never been or used the Tapu Tapu system it's great, but on very busy days it can't handle the crowds. Buying UXP eliminates that.
Do I need to bring my own towels to Volcano Bay?
Make sure you've got strong swimmers if you plan to do the Ohno and Ohyah drop slides. These two body slides plunge into a 10-foot-deep pool! Volcano Bay does not provide any free towels, so be sure to bring your own if you do not want to rent them (it costs $7).
Can I wear a hat on rides at Volcano Bay?
Remember: No hats, sunglasses, or shoes are allowed on rides. Either keep them at your chair, secured in a locker, or at the entrance to a ride. Most slides have a place to store belongings.
