How does standing tickets work?

How does standing tickets work? “General Admission” (sometimes shortened to “GA”) and “Standing Room Only” (sometimes shortened to “SRO”) are industry-standard terms for tickets that don't have an assigned seat and may require you to stand during the event. These events may have a designated “GA” section, or may have no seating area at all.

Why does my general admission ticket have a seat?

When purchasing tickets for a General Admission event, you may be quoted section, row, and seat numbers, however these are for inventory purposes only and do not reflect any actual seating location.
