You may be able to manage the symptoms of mild sand flea bites with:
  1. Antihistamines (topical or oral, not both).

  3. Skin creams that reduce itchiness, such as calamine lotion.
  4. Topical or oral corticosteroids to relieve inflammation and swelling.

Can you feel a sand flea bite?

Not all sand fleas will bite and feed on humans, but those that do can cause painful, itchy bites. They hop through the sand much like the common flea, eventually landing on human skin and inflicting an uncomfortable bite.
