How do I use contactless Metrolink? Touch-in to begin. Use the smart readers on stops to touch-in before boarding the tram and touch-out at your destination. You don't need to touch-out and touch-in again if you're just changing trams as part of a single journey between two Metrolink stops.
Do you have to tap a contactless card?
If tapping to pay is not available at a location, you can simply swipe or insert your Visa contactless card at checkout.
Do you tap out at trams with contactless?

No, please do not screenshot your e-ticket as the QR code may be blurred or not sufficiently accurate to scan.
What happens if I forget to tap out on contactless?
