How do I add a Railcard digitally? If you have already bought a digital Railcard, you should have received a 'digital Railcard Download code' on both the purchase confirmation page and by email. Once you've got this code, go to the Railcard app, tap on the '+' button in the top left of the screen and enter your code.
Can I buy a Railcard online and use it straight away?
If you have purchased a digital 16-25 Railcard, in most cases it will be available to use straight away.
Do I need to show my Railcard on the train?
A: Yes. You must show your valid Network Railcard (digital or plastic) when you buy your ticket and travel on the train.

We'll automatically apply your Railcard savings and show you the discounted price. Book your train tickets as a digital ticket, or to be collected at the station. Bring the device your digital Railcard and train tickets are stored on to show to a ticket inspector if asked.

Follow. Unfortunately not. You should always check that the discount you expected has been applied before completing your ticket purchase. If you want to apply the discount once the ticket has been bought you will have to cancel your ticket and start again.
