What are peak times for TFL?
Peak fares - Monday to Friday (not on public holidays) between 06:30 and 09:30, and between 16:00 and 19:00. Off-peak fares - at all other times and if you travel from a station outside Zone 1 to a station in Zone 1 between 16:00 and 19:00, Monday to Friday.
Are trains included in Oyster card?
If you have a Pay As You Go Oyster card, you can use it to travel on bus, Tube, tram, DLR, the IFS Cable Car, London Overground and National Rail services in London. You can also use it to travel on Thames Clippers River Bus services but these journeys do not count towards daily caps.
Does Trainline cover tube costs?
Yes. If you need to use the London Underground (the tube) to complete your journey, we'll package up the cost of your Overground and Underground tickets for you. You can then select a ticket to that underground zone, i.e. Edinburgh to London Underground Zone 1.
What is the cheapest way to travel in London Underground?
Pay as you go You don't have to work out the cost of your journey in advance. You can pay as you go using contactless (card or device), an Oyster card or a Visitor Oyster card. It also offers great value as pay as you go is cheaper than buying single tickets and you get daily and weekly capping.
Can you only use Trainline Railcard on Trainline?
Yes. Although your Railcard will live in your Trainline App, it can still be used with tickets bought elsewhere.
Is train free with Oyster?
Every time you make a journey on London's public transport your Oyster card is charged a fare. Once you reach the daily cap (see above) in a day no more fares are deducted from your Oyster card.
How much is a 1 day travelcard London?
Travelcard prices start at £15.20 for a central London 1 day Travelcard (zones 1-4). Child Travelcards prices start at £7.60 (zonnes 1-4).
Why is Trainline more expensive than national rail?
The trainline is a reseller/agent so although the fares are usually the same, you may other charges such as booking fees/credit card fees and delivery fees and may miss any special promotional fares. There is no point in booking through them.
