Does the puck come out in MagicBand+? A few years ago Disney revamped the design of the MagicBand for the first time since they rolled out in 2014. The major change was a small removable “puck” in the center of the band. You can remove the puck by unscrewing two tiny screws in the back of the band – you'll need a mini screwdriver to do this.
Are MagicBands worth it?
It's not entirely necessary. Although MagicBands can make your park experience a touch (or tap) easier and can provide some unique experiences, you can function just fine in the park without one. You can still enter the park by scanning a physical ticket or using your Disney app on a mobile phone, for example.
