Does Frontier Airlines fly out of Pie airport? After years of struggling to serve as more than a leisure airline airport, Frontier Airlines has announced to move a major route from Tampa International to St. Petersburg/Clearwater along with a new route and the possibility of more to follow.

Frontier serves many of it's destinations only once (or twice) daily. This is bad when your flight is delayed or canceled, since it means that they can't just put you on the next flight and get you there a few hours late.
