Do you need a reservation for Lions Head? Reservations are strongly encouraged, however if you're unable to plan ahead the club accepts walk-ins on a first-come first-serve basis.
Which hike is better Table Mountain or Lions Head?
The hike up Lion's Head is much easier physically than Table Mountain. Not only is it a shorter hike but it zig zag's around the mountain whereas Table Mountain is a straight shot up. Lion's Head is also a more fun hike in my opinion as there are some very minor rock climbing (chains and ladders) aspect to it!
Can you go to the Grotto without a reservation?
We do not recommend travelling to the park without a confirmed reservation. Driving in and dropping off visitors is not allowed.
Do you have to pay to go to the Grotto?
Visiting The Grotto It is free to visit the lower level. Admission to the Upper Gardens is sold until 7:30 p.m. Details are subject to change; please check The Grotto's Website for current information.
