Can kids make purchases on MagicBands?
MagicBands. If you're staying at a Disney World Resort hotel, you can use a MagicBand to charge back to your room's account. There is no age limit on who can charge, so it's up to you to decide if your child is old enough to pay.
How do I assign a MagicBand to my child?
To add their MagicBand, click on “Link a MagicBand or Card” under your child's name. You can then use the scanner feature to tap and add your MagicBands, or you can toggle over to “Type ID” and manually enter the number from the back of the MagicBand. Finally, follow the prompts, and you're all set!
Will a 5 year old MagicBand work?
According to my experience, the battery inside the MagicBand is designed to last for up to two years or more, so you can use your MagicBand for more than one Walt Disney World vacation. In your case, the battery in your MagicBand is 5-6 years old, so it might not be functional.
Are Disney MagicBands worth it?
If you do not plan to use Genie+, DAS or take many PhotoPass photos, you probably do not need a MagicBand at Disneyland. If you want to play games and see the band light up with entertainment, as well as use it for Lightning Lanes and PhotoPass, then it may be worth it.
