Can you walk from Magic Kingdom to the Contemporary hotel? The Contemporary Resort and Bay Lake Tower are located within easy walking distance of the Magic Kingdom theme park. This short walk is convenient for guests staying at the resorts to access the park without waiting on or riding in a crowded monorail.
Where is the walking path from contemporary to Magic Kingdom?
Start in between Bay Lake Tower and the Contemporary Resort. Walk towards the driving entrance, you may see Space Mountain off to your right in the distance! Soon you'll find a small security tent (we couldn't film here). Continue walking towards the bus station at Magic Kingdom and the front entrance!

Most of the time the monorail is faster. Unless you catch the boat just as it is ready to leave. We have stayed here a few times the monorail is the easy way to get there with no delays.
How far does the average person walk at Magic Kingdom?
Add in different eating habits & food, less rest, and more time spent on your feet, and many will quickly notice the hours and steps logged daily. According to friends, family, and personal experience, we walk at least 10-12 miles on an average day visiting the parks. This is a lot more than many of us walk normally!

Magic Kingdom Fireworks are at 9pm on most nights. If there is a special event like Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party the fireworks may be earlier, or may not be scheduled for regular guests visiting that day.
