Can you take a baby on the SkyLift in Gatlinburg? For the safety of the individual(s), strollers and other wheeled devices are not permitted at the Gatlinburg SkyPark. We recommend that infants and toddlers ride in the lap of their parent during the SkyLift ride.
Is Anakeesta Sky Lift safe?
The ski lift is definitely an accident waiting to happen. There are no safety precautions at all. We had a two year old with us assuming we would be safe however there are no seatbelts and the bar doesn't even stay in place.
Do you have to ride the SkyLift to get to the SkyBridge?
Many people come to Gatlinburg every year and can't leave without riding the SkyLift first! To access the SkyBridge and SkyDeck, you must ride the Gatlinburg SkyLift 500 vertical feet up the side of Crockett Mountain. As you ride up the mountainside, you'll enjoy talking to the 2 other people riding up with you.

Hello, All ages are permitted to ride on SkyLift. We do recommend that infants and small children ride in the laps of their parent/guardian throughout the duration of the 18 minute round trip ride. You will not be able to take a stroller with you on the ride. We would recommend a baby wrap of some sort.
Is the sky lift in Gatlinburg scary?
The view from up top is nice, but the ride back down is the most fun. You really get a beautiful scenic view and it's fun to be up so high off the ground and at such a steep angle! If you are afraid of heights or have very young children who are as well- do yourself and others a favor and don't ride!
