Can you screenshot a train e-ticket? The purchased ticket(s) will be electronically delivered to your phone's ticket wallet (see more on Ticket Wallet below) and a receipt for your purchase will automatically be sent to your email address. Please note that screenshots or videos of MTA eTix tickets are strictly prohibited.


Can you send electronic tickets?

If a mobile number is entered, a link to claim the ticket will pop up with a pre-written text message, just press send and it will go to your recipient. If an email address is entered, a link to claim the ticket will go to your recipient in an email.

No, please do not screenshot your e-ticket as the QR code may be blurred or not sufficiently accurate to scan.

QR codes are also more secure than one-dimensional barcodes as the information can be encrypted. There's also less room for error, as they have three levels of error detection built into the code; if something is off, you'll know.

Yes, That's possible. Please do make sure your screen is scratch free. PDF tickets (directly from your e-mail or saved on your mobile) as well as your tickets via the Ticketmaster app can be scanned from your mobile device.
