Can you rent a golf cart at Fort Wilderness if you are not staying there? I am happy to share golf carts are available to rent for all visitors. You do not need to be staying at the resort. They may be rented up to a year in advance by calling (407) 824-2742.
How many cars can you park at Fort Wilderness cabin?
There is room to park one vehicle per site (in addition to the camping vehicle) at no charge and each site is limited to 10 people. Additional parking is available at the main parking lot.
Is Fort Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge the same resort?
Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campgrounds are two separate resorts and the pools at each are benefits of Guests staying at their respective hotels.

Is Fort Wilderness worth it?
Fort Wilderness is such a nice place to stay on DIsney property! First off its cheaper than most other disney resorts and if you have fur babies its the only one you can take them. They have alot of cool amenities, they have an awesome sing along with chip and dale and a disney movie every night.
How far in advance can you reserve a golf cart at Fort Wilderness?
The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort is my family's favorite place to stay when we visit the Walt Disney World Resort. Even our dogs love it there! When we don't bring our own golf cart, we've found that renting one from the resort is very easy. You can reserve your golf cart a full year in advance!
Can I go to Fort Wilderness without staying there?
Even if you are not planning on staying at Fort Wilderness, it is worth stopping by to visit. You plan a wonderful relaxing non-park day with some horseback riding, a dinner experience at Hoop De Doo Revue, and campfire singalong.
Can you bring a fire pit to Fort Wilderness?
I just know you're going to have a great time in just a few weeks! Fire pits are allowed at Fort Wilderness, but Disney is very strict with the kind that you can have. Any fire pit you use must have a solid metal top and be completely caged.
Can guests visit you at Fort Wilderness?
You can absolutely have guests visit your campsite or cabin during your visit. Just give them your cabin or campsite information. When they arrive at the resort's front gate, the security guard will ask them for your information, and they will be good to go! There are so many great activities they can enjoy with you.
Can you see fireworks from Fort Wilderness?
An easy way to see some of the Magic Kingdom fireworks is to head for the Fort Wilderness beach. They will pipe in the music each night and although it isn't a clear view, as you have the old Discovery Island between you and the park, you can still see quite a bit above the tree line.
