Can you gift a Railcard? You can buy a digital or plastic Two Together Railcard for another person as long as they are aged 16 years or over. You will need to provide two separate passport-style photo (one of yourself and one of the other named cardholder).

Can I have digital Railcard on two phones?

You can store your digital Railcard on up to two devices at a time. If you want to add it a third, you will need to remove it from one of your existing devices using the steps descirbed above.

Do trains check your Railcard?

Yes. You must show your valid Network Railcard (digital or plastic) when you buy your ticket and travel on the train. Failure to present a valid Railcard will mean you have to pay a full fare or you may on certain services be liable for a Penalty Fare.

Unfortunately, you can only have one version of your Railcard – either plastic or digital.

Can I buy a Railcard for someone else at the station?

You can buy a Family & Friends Railcard at any National Rail staffed station ticket office or National Rail-licensed Travel Agent.

Is there a Railcard for over 30s?

If you are aged 26-30 years old and still in full-time education, you can choose whether to buy a 26-30 Railcard, or buy a 16-25 Railcard as a mature student. Mature students who are over the age of 30, can only choose the 16-25 Railcard option and apply as a mature student.

Can you buy a Railcard if you are not from the UK?

You don't need to live in Britain or be a UK citizen to be eligible. However, they can only be posted to UK addresses. Buy in person at a staffed railway station (each railcard is different, so it is best to check beforehand with Railcard Help to see if there are any documents that you will need to bring with you).

Can I use my boyfriends Railcard?

No. The Railcard is for your use only, and provides discounts only on tickets bought for your own use. It does not cover anyone accompanying you.
