Can you drive to the Narrows? During the late spring and summer months, the park shuttle takes visitors through Zion, and for the rest of the year, you can drive your vehicle into the park. For the day hike, the Narrows is accessible from the last shuttle stop, called the Temple of Sinawava. This is the end of the road if you are driving yourself.

Even at 50 cfs, the water can be up to 5 feet deep in some places, so time your hike for days when the water level is below 50 cfs if you can. Also, check at the visitor center about the possibility of flash-flooding. If there's even a remote chance of flash-flooding, DO NOT HIKE THE NARROWS.
Can you wear water shoes in the Narrows?
For a trek deep into the narrows or a through hike I'd say rent the water hiking shoes from one of the outfitters. We choose the boot/sock/walking stick option and it turned out to be a great choice for us. The water came up to mid-thigh and was very muddy so you couldn't see where you were walking.

Can I drive my car into Zion?
From March through late November, access to the Zion Canyon Scenic Drive is by shuttle bus only. Private vehicles are allowed to access the Scenic Drive only when the Shuttle System is not in operation.
