Can Leap Card be used on Dublin Express? Anyone with a Young Adult/Student Leap Card can purchase their ticket on the TFI Go App for a 50% discount on our 782 and 784 services. Can I use my Leap Card on the train Dublin?

TFI Leap Card can be used to pay for travel around Dublin on all TFI public transport services including Dublin Bus, Go-Ahead Ireland, Luas, DART and commuter rail within the Dublin area “Short-Hop zone”.


Can you pay cash on Dublin Bus?

Paying with cash: An exact fare system is operated by Dublin Bus and only coins (not notes) are accepted. No change is given. Prepaid tickets: You can also pay your fare with a prepaid ticket. Magnetic prepaid tickets must be inserted into the bus validator when boarding.


Can I use my Leap card anywhere?

The transport card may be used on most means of transportation in Dublin, including Airlink airport buses 747 and 757, all the Dublin buses, Luas trams and the DART trains.

Aircoach tickets can be bought online or from customer staff at Dublin Airport. A return ticket from Dublin Airport to O'Connell Street (Dublin City Centre) typically costs around 9 Euros.

The Leap Card can be used for rail travel between stations within the 'Short Hop Zone'. This Zone includes all stations in the Dublin area from Kilcoole to Balbriggan and Commuter Stations from Dublin City Centre to Kilcock and from Dublin Heuston to Sallins and Naas. The Leap Card also works in the Cork Commuter area.


Can two people use the same Leap Card Dublin?

Yes, on buses only you can tell the driver to take two fares off one regular Leap card. You can't do this with rail or Luas trams. But don't forget you will also have to pay a €5 deposit on a regular Leap Card. A Leap Visitor Card has no deposit.


Can I put my Leap Card on my phone?
