Can I fly drone in Horseshoe Bend? Launching, landing or operating an unmanned aircraft from or on lands and waters administered by the National Park Service within the boundaries of Horseshoe Bend National Military Park is prohibited except as approved in writing by the Superintendent.
Why are drones banned in Grand Canyon?
It's an oddity, I researched this when we travelled to the US recently. I hold a FAA permit for my drone and have completed the FAA approved training. The National Parks service will not permit anyone to take off or land a drone within the parks as they don't want to risk scaring animals, fair enough.
