Are the MagicBands worth it?

Are the MagicBands worth it? If you want to play games and see the band light up with entertainment, as well as use it for Lightning Lanes and PhotoPass, then it may be worth it. To us, it's worth it to spend less time pulling out our phones. Plus, we visit more often than most families. It might not be worth it for a one-time trip.

Already have a MagicBand+ or MagicBand from a previous visit? You can reuse your current MagicBand+ or MagicBand. Depending on how much time has passed, battery health may limit your ability to receive Disney PhotoPass attraction videos and select attraction photos with MagicBand.

Are MagicBands only for hotel guests?

Guests staying off property can purchase Magic Bands at the Walt Disney World Resort upon arrival or at shopDisney. These bands have many of the same perks where you can link your park ticket and account to the band to use it for admission, Genie+ reservations and more.

Can I buy a basic MagicBand?

How many years do MagicBands last?

It is perfectly acceptable to reuse an old MagicBand on your next trip. The official word from Walt Disney World is that the battery life of a band is expected to be about 2 years. However, I personally have older ones that are still going strong! So, bring your MagicBands and try it!

Should I get my kid a MagicBand?
