Are railcards valid on the day they expire? Yes. Your Railcard is valid up until and including the date shown on your Railcard.
Do they check Railcard on trains?
Yes. You must show your valid Railcard when you buy your ticket. You also need to have your Railcard with you on each journey and present it to staff when your ticket is checked aboard the train.

You can renew your 16-25 Railcard bought online within 30 days of its expiry and before your 26th birthday to a digital or a plastic Railcard.

No. You must be between 26-30 to buy a 1-year 26-30 Railcard. You can buy it up to and including the day before your 31st birthday and keep using it until its expiry date.
Can I get a refund on an unused Railcard?
A: No. Unfortunately once a Railcard has been issued it is non-refundable.
Do railcards not work before 10am?
Why can't the Network Railcard be used before 10:00am Monday to Friday? The Network Railcard is designed to promote off-peak leisure travel. This means that it encourages people to use trains outside of the busy commuting period which occurs before 10:00am Monday to Friday.

Can I use my Santander 16-25 Railcard to buy tickets for other people? No. The Santander 16-25 Railcard is for your use only, and provides discounts only on tickets bought for your own use. It does not cover anyone accompanying you.
Can I use my 16-25 railcard before 10am?
Yes. You can use your Railcard with Anytime, Off-Peak train tickets and Advance tickets. However, for all journeys made between 4.30am and 10am Monday to Friday a minimum fare of £12 is payable.
What happens when your Railcard expires?
If you Railcard expires before the end of your journey then you will need to renew it to be able to complete your trip using expired tickets. If the only Railcard you have is expired you will not be able to continue to use your discounted tickets.

The 16-25 Railcard gets you 1/3 off Standard Anytime and Off-Peak fares, as well as Standard Advance and First-Class Advance fares. There's no limit to the number of times you can use it so the potential for adventure is huge.
