Are dogs allowed on San Francisco cable cars? During non-commute hours you may ride the world-famous San Francisco Cable Cars with your pet. Dogs are not permitted to ride weekdays 5-9 a.m. and 3-7 p.m. During the permitted hours, only one pet per vehicle is allowed.
