Are Disney MagicBands automatically linked? If you have a resort reservation, your MagicBands are automatically linked to your My Disney Experience account. If you have purchased a MagicBand at a retail location, there are two ways to link your new MagicBand to your account.
Are Disney MagicBands worth it?
If you do not plan to use Genie+, DAS or take many PhotoPass photos, you probably do not need a MagicBand at Disneyland. If you want to play games and see the band light up with entertainment, as well as use it for Lightning Lanes and PhotoPass, then it may be worth it.

To check on this, log on to your account and scroll down to Plans, Reservations, and Tickets Click on Tickets & Memory Maker to view your tickets below.
Do MagicBands expire?
It is perfectly acceptable to reuse an old MagicBand on your next trip. The official word from Walt Disney World is that the battery life of a band is expected to be about 2 years. However, I personally have older ones that are still going strong! So, bring your MagicBands and try it!
How many MagicBands can be linked to my account?
You are definitely able to have multiple MagicBands that you use during your trip and you can use them all interchangeably, as long as all of the MagicBands are linked to your My Disney Experience account. You can verify that your MagicBands are linked by visiting your MagicBands & Cards page.
Do I need to link old MagicBand to new reservation?
The good news is that as long as your valid Walt Disney World Tickets and your MagicBands are linked to your My Disney Experience Account, you should be able to enter a theme park with your active MagicBand, even if it is a MagicBand used on a previous vacation.
