Are Cuban cigars in the Bahamas real? While I was there, I took a little walk down Bay Street in Nassau. Bay Street is a busy place with endless markets. You can buy just about anything there: diamonds, clothes, liquor, coedeine without a prescription and plenty of Cuban cigars. I can't vouch for the drugs and booze, but the cigars ain't real.


How can you tell if a Cuban cigar is real?

The official Habanos seal now features a hologram at the top, and a barcode at the other end. The only way to open the box is to break the seal. This barcode number will need to match the number printed multiple times on the top side of the seal.


How long does 1 Cuban cigar last?

Once unwrapped, a cigar lasts only two to three days without the proper storage and preservation methods. But when stored correctly, good Cuban cigars can last and improve for many many years.

Until then, the only way to purchase Cuban cigars without breaking the law is to travel to Cuba with a valid license and make your purchase in person. (Note that about 99.99% of cigars sold by street vendors there are fake.
